Life in March

Nothing is safe when this little tornado is around...especially folded clothes!

Movie night with Granna to see Cinderella

Evie won't let me teach her anything, but she will let Mason

He is becoming such a great reader

Miss Priss is always wearing makeup or dressing up with her babies

Mason had a day off from school, but Evie didn't, so it was a fun day with my big and little

He has the biggest sweet tooth just like his momma
This bounce house has been the best investment we have ever made.  They spend so many days on it.

Evie going to a play date with her friend Kit.

Matthew spent another day as the Watch Dog Dad at Mason's school

I love this smile.  Gets me every time!

We tried a little soccer camp, and Evie wasn't a fan.  She said running is too hard.  I guess we can try again next year!

Garth Brooks

We were so excited to hear that Garth was coming to town.  We bought tickets months ago with a group of friends from Matthew's office.  The show didn't start until 11pm so it was a late night for us, but it was worth it.  He sang all his old songs and was an awesome entertainer.  We couldn't believe he could sing for 2.5 solid hours after doing an earlier show too. Funny how I hadn't listened to any of his music in 15 years, but all the songs came back to us.  So much fun!

Sunshine Party

We had a few people over for a party for Charlotte.  It was sad not having all of the family like we did for Mason and Evie, but we made the best of it, and were glad that Granna could be here.  She is one loved little girl!

I'm so glad that I have always taken monthly pictures of the kids to hang at their parties.

My super talented friend made this cake, cookies, and cupcakes.  This cake was almost too pretty to smash!

She wore this bow for about 0.002 seconds

She truly is our little sunshine

She couldn't handle the hat anymore either

Charlotte- 12 months

Height: 30.5 inches
Weight:  21 pounds 13.5 oz

Clothes:  She is wearing 12 month and 18 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Eating:  I took her completely off the bottle the night before her birthday.  She never had any problems without it and started drinking whole milk from a cup.  So far she loves the food we have given her.  Some favorites are avocado, grilled chicken, blueberries, bananas, mashed potatoes, pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, peas, green beans, and peaches.

Sleeping: She still loves to sleep and goes down without any problems.  We put her down around 7:30 and she will sleep until we wake her.  She will take either one or two naps a day depending on our schedule.

Likes:  She loves taking baths, following Mason and Evie everywhere, pushing the stroller around, furniture cruising, getting into cabinets and pulling everything out, reading books, singing songs, playing patty cake and peekaboo, swinging at the park, being held

 Dislikes:
Being told no, being left alone in the room, starting to get some separation anxiety and prefers Mommy to everyone, she hates anything on her head or her feet

New this month:
She is talking constantly but no actual words.  She has taken a step or two by herself, but prefers the walker or to be holding on to furniture.  She is starting to not like to be left at the church nursery or anywhere that she doesn't know.  We had to reschedule her one year pictures because she was throwing the biggest fit I had ever seen.  She just wanted me to hold her.  Hopefully this doesn't last long, because as long as she is with us, she is the happiest baby ever.  She has been such a blessing to us this past year and I can't imagine our lives without her in it!
Her last botte ever 3/11/15

Cousins

We finally got to meet Brycen.  We had to cancel our original weekend because Evie got sick, so the kids were more than ready to go play with Brianne and Brayden for the weekend.  DFW was having a horrible ice storm, so Mimi and Papa weren't able to drive up to see us.  The kids had so much fun playing together.  It is fun to have cousins!

These two love to fly!  They especially love that we get ice cream while waiting to board.

always reading the rules and instructions

snacks and iPad are the best flight entertainment
the boys slept in Brayden's room and Evie thought she was such a big girl getting to sleep with Brianne

she loves holding babies

getting out in the crazy weather to go jump

It's weekends like this that make me see what a baby she still is.  She cannot keep up with the big kids and still needs a nap everyday.  She fell asleep with the tv blaring and the kids running around her playing.

The second night Evie was scared to sleep in Brianne's room for some reason, so Mason came to the rescue and said he would snuggle with her.
the flight home on Sunday was a good time for a nap
