Halloween

On Halloween day we went to Matthew's office to trick or treat.  Mason is making his rounds being all the super heroes for Halloween.  Not sure what he will decide to be once he has been them all!  Evie loves Doc McStuffins right now and as soon as she saw it in the store she decided that is what she would be.  Charlotte was the cutest little owl ever.

That night the Scott's came over for dinner and trick or treating.  Mason loved trick or treating with some school friends and Evie did her best to keep up.

Texas Tour Week 2

On Sunday, Matthew flew back to Denver to work for a few days, and I headed to Fort Worth to see Uncle Brian and Aunt Kim.  We spent a few hours there, and then I took the kids to Abilene to stay the rest of the week with my parents.  We went to the zoo, park, Gatti's, fed the ducks, walked around downtown, and just had a fun time.  Matthew flew into Abilene on Wednesday night and then we left on Thursday to drive home.  It was a long two weeks, but we are so glad we got to spend so much time with our families!

I love watching these cousins play together.  Can't wait for one more in December!

Texas Tour Week 1

Mason gets a two week fall break, so we decided to load up and make the drive down to Texas.  We left on Monday morning do drive to Abilene to spend the night for a night.  The kids did so much better than I was expecting.  We only had to stop three times and were in the car from 8am until midnight.  We did make a pit stop in Lubbock for a couple of hours to have dinner with Aunt B and Jordan at Chickfila.  It was a good break and we were happy to get to see them!
Let's GO!

They loved playing hide and seek in the play area with Aunt B and Uncle Jordan

My parents were out of town, so we got to their house and went straight to bed.  We woke up, had breakfast, and then hit the road for a two hour drive to Graham to see Matthew's family.  We got to see Papa, Nannie and Papa Joe, Aunt Susie, and Uncle Greg and Rena.

Papa got to meet Charlotte for the first time

Charlotte is half dressed in all of these pictures because she only has long sleeves and pants that fit her (since that is all we need in CO)  It was still hot in TX so we just stripped her down for two weeks.  :)

Evie loves singing with Aunt Sue

After a few hours in Graham, we drove three more hours to Ennis.  We were so glad that we would be staying in Ennis for a few days and not having to be in the car very much.  We spent Tuesday-Sunday seeing Granna, Pops, The Hernandez family, and Aunt CC and Uncle Eric.  Matthew worked the rest of the week in Fort Worth and we spent our days with Sophia and Cole.  We had the best time.

Mason and Sophia are two peas in a pod.  They love each other so much!

So happy Granna got home from work!

Joel babysat the big kids for me while Lezlee and I went to shop for a little bit.  He won babysitter of the year for this great idea.

Pops!

On Friday, we met Aunt CC and Uncle Eric at the Perot Museum.  All Mason wanted to do was race the cheetah!

This is about one minute after leaving the museum.  They had a busy and tiring week!

Love love love these sweet kiddos!

The worst part of our trip was that we didn't get to see The Lewis' and Buteaus.  We were so looking forward to getting all of our kids together and having a fun weekend in Dallas, but it just didn't work out this time.  We need to start planning something else!

Charlotte- Seven Months

Weight: 18 pounds 1 ounce

Doctor Appointment:  None this month.

Clothes:  She is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Eating:  She is taking four bottles a day, 8oz each at 8,12, 4 and 8.  She eats cereal and fruit midmorning and then again at dinner time.  She loves her food!

Sleeping: She is sleeping great.  She goes down around 8pm and will sleep until around 7 or so.  She is taking three naps a day.

Likes:  being held, the ergo, being talked/sung to, watching Mason and Evie, floor time, rolling everywhere, chewing on everything, Sophie, exersaucer, sitting in high chair, being tickled, being read to, sitting and playing on floor

Dislikes:  being hungry, being left alone in a room

New this month:
We officially have a sitter!  She can't put herself into sitting position from laying down yet, but if you sit her down she will play and stay that way for awhile.  She still loves to be on her tummy and can roll and scoot all over the room.  She is babbling more and more and is saying "da da da" sounds.  I can see two teeth on the bottom front, but they haven't broken through yet.  She drools constantly.  I left her overnight for three nights for the first time.  She did great with Mimi, but I sure did miss her.  She grabs onto everything and kicks and moves constantly.  I think once she starts moving she won't ever stop!  She loves watching Mason and Evie, and will break her neck trying to follow everywhere they go.  This is my very favorite age!!
