Evie at 3 months

Another month has flown by!  We don't go for a check up this month, so I'm not sure of her stats.  We go back next month.

• Size 1 diaper
• mostly 0-3 month and some 3-6 month clothes
• You eat five- 5 ounce bottles a day.
• You go to sleep for the night around 8:30 and sleep until 7:30 or 8:00.  You still love the swaddler.  There were a couple of nights that your daddy wrapped you and you woke up in the middle of the night because you had gotten yourself out of it.  Daddy is afraid to wrap you too tight because he thinks it hurts you!  On those nights that you woke yourself up, we had to feed you to get you back to sleep.  I am the "swaddle person" now, and you sleep all night.  :)
• You are pretty much on the "eat, play, sleep" schedule throughout the day.  After your bottle we play for about 30 minutes and then you sleep for an hour or two.
• You are very good on the go.  We can wake you up from a nap to load you in car and you will just go right back to sleep.
• You are smiling and cooing so much now
• We got your first good laugh when I was taking your 3 month pictures.  I was playing peekaboo with you and you thought it was so funny!  You kept laughing and laughing-one of the most precious sounds I have ever heard!

• Getting better at holding your head up.  Not much of a fan of tummy time, but you do it for a little while.
• We started going to Gymboree this month and you are getting the hang of it.  Last week you decided you would rather sleep than participate, so that's what we did the whole class!
• We had your ENT appointment this month.  They did the procedure where they inserted the scope in your nose and looked at your throat.  It was the longest minute ever!  It took me and a nurse to hold you down so the doctor could look.  You did not like it at all!  He did confirm that you have laryngomalacia as well as acid reflux.  You will just continue to be a loud sleeper and slow eater until you grow out of it.  We go back next month to check it again.  We have you on Zantac once a day for the reflux and it seems to be helping.
• You are always watching your big brother and usually give him the biggest smiles.

Weekend Extravaganza Part 2- Evie's Baptism

Sunday morning we had Evie baptized at our church.  She is a little younger than Mason was, but we really wanted her baptized in our church by Derek and we just didn't know when we will be moving, so we went ahead and did it.  She did great and right after Derek put the water on her head she gave him the biggest smile.  It was really sweet.  We all went to Eastridge afterwards and had a nice lunch.

All dressed in her gown.  All of the Montgomery grandchildren have worn this gown (Matthew was the first) and Mason and Evie are the only two great grandchildren so far.  I can't wait to see Mason and Evie's children in it one day.

Everyone's name and baptism date is monogrammed on the slip.  Such a special heirloom!

Mason did pretty good up there.  He was playing with my hair and touching my lipstick though.  ( I think he is not used to seeing me with my hair down or lipstick on!  ha!)

We were so glad that Derek could perform the Baptism.  He is our preacher for the Contemporary service and has been our SS teacher for the last 2 years.

We were glad that we could combine both the party and baptism in one weekend so that our families would only have to travel once.  I think the weekend turned out so nice and we are so thankful for everyone that made the trip!

Weekend Extravaganza Part 1- Mason's Party

We had a fun and busy weekend celebrating our kids.  All of our family were able to come in for Mason's birthday party on Saturday and Evie's Baptism on Sunday.  

First Up:  Mason's 3rd birthday party!  We had it at In the Zone which is a big bounce house place.  Mason loves to go there so I thought it would be a fun party place.  All Mason requested for his party was an Orange cake, orange forks, and orange candles, so I just went with the theme "Orange".  ha!

After the party everyone just spent the day at our house.  Mason got a lot of fun gifts and enjoyed playing with them.  We picked up some Italian food for dinner and had a great time together.
