HOT Summer Days

It is so, so hot here so we are trying to find things to do inside in the A/C.  I hate to admit that Mason is watching more TV than I would like, but I know it won't always be like this.

Last week we met Erinn and Georgia one day at the Boardwalk for lunch, a movie, and a ride on the carousel.  We went to see Winnie the Pooh and neither kid liked it too much.   They were just happy to have their icees!  We also went to Lindsey's one day for a play date.  I didn't have my camera either day, but we had a great time!  We love having Matthew work from home, but one bad thing is that we can't have anyone over to play.  So we try to find things to do to get out of the house and meet up with friends.

We had an indoor picnic.  Mason thought this was the coolest and now wants to eat every meal on the floor!  I love how he set up Lovey and the Monkey to eat with him!

He is the sweetest big brother.  He is constantly giving her kisses and can't stand to hear her cry.

We got out and used our new stroller from Mimi and Papa.  I think we will get a lot of use out of it.  Mason loved being able to get in an out of it.

Sweet girl is filling out!  Look at those rolls on her thighs!

One thing I love about having a girl is dressing her up!  I love the ruffle butt! :)

Watching George.  Mason loves Curious George right now.  It looks like Evie likes it too!

Sunday night, the Lewis' invited us over for dinner.  Neil used his new smoker and made the best meal.  He smoked everything he could think of: pork, chicken and turkey.  Lindsey also made my favorite potatoes stuffed in bell peppers and Neil's dad made the best bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp.

These boys are the best of friends.  I love watching them play together!

Bennett LOVES Evie.  He always want to hold her.  Here we told him to hold her head, so he used both hands to do it!  He is going to make the best big brother!

Any time someone wants to hold Evie, Mason decides he wants to too.  A little jealous, maybe?!

my sweet loves

Dinner time!  And check out the beautiful flowers that Neil got for Lindsey!

I made this layered salad.  I didn't eat it, but everyone liked it.  It sure looked pretty!

This was the best dessert too!  A chocolate chip ice cream sandwich.  Yum!

This morning I decided to build Mason an obstacle course.  He loved it!

Jumping to the finish!

The salad was fab and I think I need to make it soon. I also like how Mason is wearing orange in most of the pics!
