Girls Weekend

I had the most awesome weekend with Matthew's sisters and mom.  Donna gave us all a spa gift certificate for Christmas, and we turned it into a girls weekend.  It was also great because we got to celebrate Caroline's engagement.  I left Shreveport early Friday morning to drive to Ennis to meet Donna.  We then went to Dallas to meet Sarah and Caroline.  We looked at a reception site and then went wedding dress shopping.  I think we were all surprised that Caroline found the perfect dress and bought it!  It was so fun to see her in wedding gowns and she looks absolutely beautiful in the one she picked.  Too bad I will have to wait a whole year before I can post pictures.  She also asked me to be a bridesmaid and I could not be more excited!
Matthew surprised us and got us a hotel room for that night so we went to check in and then to happy hour.  Suzi joined us and we had a great time catching up.  Then we got changed and went to dinner at Bolla, which was so good.  The lobster mac and cheese was amazing!  We were all pretty tired after the long day so we called it a night.
Saturday morning we went to brunch at Cafe Brazil and then to our spa appointment at noon.  We each had an hour long foot massage, and hour full body massage, and then an hour long facial.  It was heaven!!  We all looked a little rough afterwards, but that didn't stop us from walking across the street to go see the Hunger Games.  We had all read the books so we could not wait to see it.  Sarah was still trying to finish it, and she literally read the last page during the previews.  The Magnolia theater was so nice, and we even shared two bottles of wine during the movie.  Can't get much better than that!  :)  After that we walked to Mi Cocina and had dinner on the patio.  Donna and I got back to Ennis around 9:00 and showered and went to bed.  I even slept in on Sunday morning before coming home.
