An Egg-cellent Weekend

We were glad to be home this weekend after being on the road all day Friday.  Saturday we headed to our church's Easter egg hunt.  They always go all out with bounce houses, games, egg hunts, Easter bunny and hot dogs for lunch.  We came home and Matthew and Mason spent the entire day outside.  Mason was one dirty kid by the end of the day!  We cooked a great meal that night too.  Matthew smoked chicken and ribs and made a pot of beans.  I decided to make some things from PW's new cookbook- restaurant salsa, pan fried spinach, smash hot potatoes and apple dumplings for dessert.  We decided that we both handle stress the same way- we want to cook and eat!  :)

I'm a sucker for seersucker!  :)

Drew, Bennett, and Mason

It is just about impossible to get a good picture of the two of them.  I thought it was sweet that Mason put his arm around her without us telling him to.

time for the sprinkler!

Sunday we went to church and then out for lunch.  We also had the Dicharry's egg hunt at the park.  Erin had cute snacks, a huge egg hunt and another appearance from the Easter Bunny.  Mason is definitely getting his practice egg hunting!

Matthew's grandmother gave Evie some of Sydney's (Matthew's cousin) old dresses.  I thought she looked adorable in this one!  I love how these dresses are 20 years old and still look so precious.

We are loving being outside, but it is already so hot.  I can only imagine what the summer will be like!
