Mother's Day Weekend

This year we spent the weekend in Ennis. Matthew was already in Dallas working, so Mason and I drove down on Thursday afternoon.

Lezlee took some family pictures of us on Saturday and we got to see sweet Sophia for a little bit. On Saturday night, we helped host a Couples' Shower for our friends John and Stephanie. Matthew and John have been friends since they were three years old, played tennis together, and lived together after college and before Matthew and I got married. John was also the Best Man in our wedding. We had a lot of fun at the shower getting to see some friends we hadn't seen in awhile.

He loves watermelon!

Such a big helper!

So since I am 8 months pregnant, I kept getting pretty hot outside. I found my favorite spot in the Beckham's house- they have floor vents for the AC, so I would go stand on it and let the air go up my dress! Pretty funny, but it felt SO good! :)

On Mother's Day we went to Donna's church and then to eat at Carino's.

Donna started a tradition my first Mother's Day where she gives me a red rose to symbolize Mason each year. This year I also got a white rose for the baby. So sweet!

Matthew got me a FW zoo membership for a year. Now once we move, I can take Mason as many times as I want. I'm so excited, it was a great gift!

I feel so honored to be Mason's mommy. I love being a mom (and wife) more than anything in the world. I also feel extremely blessed that being a mom is my full time job. Even though it isn't always easy, I wouldn't trade my days as a stay-at-home mom for anything. I'm so excited that next Mother's Day I will have 2 children to love!
