Weight: 13 pounds 9.5 ounces (50%)
Length: 25 inches (75%)
- Size 1 diaper
- 3 month clothes still fit best, but I'm buying 3-6 month stuff now for you to grow into
- You eat five 7oz (sometimes 8oz) bottles a day
- You are still having reflux issues. You spit up throughout the day, but it doesn't seem to bother you too much. We are still giving you Zantac daily.
- We were told that we can start feeding you cereal if we want. I'm not quite sure you are ready though, so I might wait a few more weeks.
- You have struggled a little bit with sleeping this month. For the most part you sleep from around 8:30-7:30. A couple of times lately you have woken up for one reason or another. I am at a loss for what to do because once your brother started sleeping through the night he has never to this day woken up in the middle of the night! I have a love/hate relationship with the swaddler. It seems that this is what wakes you up because sometimes you get out of it. I've tried to put you to sleep without it, but that doesn't work either. I usually just re-swaddle you and give you the passy and you will usually go back to sleep. I dread the day we have to stop swaddling you! **I was told today at your appointment that we need to stop swaddling you. We'll see how that goes!
- We are thinking you will be our passy girl. If you aren't sucking on it, you have your hands in your mouth sucking on them. You always keep your hands up by your face (which is what I think keeps you up if you aren't swaddled).
- You rolled over for the first time on your 4 month birthday! You were on your tummy and just rolled right over to your back. You did it one more time, so surely it wasn't a fluke!
- You are getting better at tummy time. You will only do it for a few minutes and then you just start screaming. I'm assuming now that you are starting to roll over that you won't stay on your tummy for very long.
- You play on your floor mat and in your bouncy seat. I feel bad because there is not much for you to do, so I just kind of rotate you around the house. You are happy as long as you can watch what all of us are doing.
- You smile all the time now and are "talking" more and more. We have still only gotten a few good belly laughs out of you. I love going to get you in the mornings- you have the biggest smile and love to stretch when I take you out of the swaddler.
- We left you for the first time this month. You spent 2 nights with Mimi and Papa while Daddy and I went to Lubbock. I missed you, but know you were well taken care of and completely spoiled along with your brother.
- You still don't really have a good nap schedule. I have no idea how many naps or how much you sleep during the day because we are always coming and going. Luckily you will sleep pretty much anywhere.
- You definitely have a "witching hour" from about 6PM until bedtime which is especially hard when daddy is gone. You will scream unless you are being held. I've gotten better at doing things with one hand!
- Being held by your mommy is your most favorite thing in the world right now. Sometimes I get frustrated because I can't get anything done, but I know this stage won't last long so I am soaking up every minute of it!
Don't worry, it took us forever to get James out of his swaddle. I remember thinking he would probably go off to kindergarten still needing it. :) Evie is precious!
ReplyDeletewhat a big girl you are! I just showed this to Bennett and he said "Evie happy!"
