Whew, we had a whirlwind of a week last week! I was horrible at taking pictures, so these from my phone will have to do. It all started on Thursday, Sept. 29- We went to Ennis and got to see Matthew after he had been gone all week. Friday I took the kids to see Pops at work and then Granna's office. Aunt CC came to see us too!
Saturday morning, Evie and I packed up and headed to Dallas for a girls' weekend for Brianne's 6th birthday. We went to the American Girl store, shopped at the Galleria, and stayed the night in a hotel. Evie loved spending time with the girls!

Next up, on Sunday Matthew met us at the hotel and Mason went back to Abilene with my mom. Matthew, Evie and I were spending the next few days at Lezlee and Joel's. I spent all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday looking for a rental house with Evie and our realtor. Long story short, after all the searching we still aren't going to be able to move. We were very disappointed and frustrated at the whole ordeal.
On Thursday, we loaded up and made the drive to Abilene. We spent the day loving on our little guy that we missed so much. Friday morning, we left both kids with my parents (my first time to leave Evie overnight) and headed west to Lubbock for the Tech/A&M game. We met Joel, Lezlee, Sophia and Lez's parents there. Lubbock is always a fun place to visit and reminisce about our fun college years.

| sweet Sophia was soo good all weekend! |

| This was our 6th anniversary too. (Crazy that this time last year we were in France and that Evie was only a wish at that point! So many things can happen in a year!) |

Sunday morning we left at 8am to start to long trip back to Shreveport. We stopped and picked up kids and ate lunch in Abilene, then drove to Carrollton to feed Evie and get Matthew's truck, then made the trek back to Shreveport. The Dallas to Shreveport trip was rough on both Evie and Mason so we stopped halfway for a little bit. We FINALLY made it home at 8pm only to find out that the realtor who showed our house locked us out! We called our realtor and she let us in after waiting in the driveway for about half an hour. We were exhausted to say the least.
We are looking forward to the next couple of weekends at home before we have to travel again!
