Pumpkin Festival

This was our second year to go to the annual Pumpkin Festival, and it is one of my most favorite days of the year.  It is only held one weekend of the year, and last year we went on Sunday, so it was really crowded and the pumpkins were pretty picked over.  I was so excited when I realized that Matthew's Friday off was the first day of the festival this year.  It has been on our calendar for weeks!
We went right when it opened and it wasn't that crowded at all.  We didn't have to wait in any lines and had the best picks of pumpkins.  They have tons of kids activities, live music, fair food, vendors, pony rides and amusement rides.  I don't know why I love it so much, but something about fall, cold weather, and pumpkins with my family makes me so happy!  I can't wait to go again next year!

This is just about half of the pumpkins that were there.  It is so fun to be able to actually pick pumpkins from the ground vs. just going to a church lot to pick one out like we have always done in the past.
Our picks... Mason's, Evie's, and one for the baby
They made Monster Hands out of popcorn and candy corn

Decorating cookies

Riding the tractor barrel train

Our healthy lunch of funnel cake, corn dog, cheese fries and lemonade

They jumped, bounced, rode amusement rides, and tricycle races

Time to call it a day!
