Last Wednesday night we made the big move to a big girl bed. Her room has been painted since before Christmas, so she has been excited about the "pink room" for awhile. When the bedding came in last week, we just said let's do it (we were planning on doing that weekend anyway). After bath and pi's we told her it was time. At first she wasn't sure, but then Matthew got in bed with her and read to her like he always does. He sang to her and tucked her in, and then just walked out. She played for a little while and then fell asleep and stayed all night. Nap the next day went just as good. Crazy how easy things are for kids to adjust to when I have been so nervous about it. We told her when she wakes up to stay in her bed and call for us and so far she is doing that. She will yell "mommy and daddy, I'm all done sleeping in my bed!"
I did shed a few tears that night because it just makes me sad to think of her growing up. Good thing we have another baby coming soon. I'm sure I will be a complete wreck when we are done with the crib for good!

| We put her in a queen bed since we already had the mattress and didn't see the point in getting rid of it to just buy another one. She looks SO tiny in it though! |
