I loved how it worked out that Valentine's Day was on a Friday and it just so happened to be a Friday off for Matthew. We started our morning with gifts and red velvet pancakes for breakfast. I got a few hours to myself getting my hair done and having lunch while Matthew took the kids to the park.

| my sweet valentines |
That night was our church's Parent's Night Out so we had made reservations for Del Frisco's. About an hour before we decided we would rather not get dressed up and go. My back has been killing me and the thought of sitting at a table for a couple of hours didn't sound that great! Luckily, I have the best husband ever and he suggested we drop the kids off at church, get take-out from PF Changs, and come back home and watch House of Cards on Netflix. I must say it was one of my favorite dates. We have never had a date night at home since the kids are always with us or they stay home with a sitter while we go out.
