We called our family and friends to let them know we had a girl, but we asked that Donna not tell Mason and Evie until they got to hospital. I was so excited to see how they would react. Donna brought them up on Wednesday morning and they were so happy. Mason has always said he wanted a brother, but just that morning he told Donna he was hoping for a sister so that he would have two baby sisters just like Daddy. So sweet!
They held her and loved on her and Mason didn't want to leave her. Evie was very interested in poking her and wanted to hold her all by herself. Evie had a hard time leaving us in the hospital each day/night, so we were glad to get home to all be together.
| Donna sent this before they left the house. They were so excited to find out if it was a brother or sister! |

So far Mason and Evie are handling the new baby well. The biggest issue has been them fighting over who gets to hold her. Mason had one moment where I was feeding her and he wanted me to stop and make his lunch. He didn't want anyone else to do it. Evie has been attached to me, but she was that way before Charlotte arrived. I know part of that is her just being a two and a half year old. They both constantly want to know where the baby is and give her kisses all day long. Evie doesn't understand why she can't walk around holding her like her baby dolls! They have both been such big helpers too. Mason has a hard time remembering her name. Every morning we have to remind him! ha! I know part of that is because I call her Charlotte and Matthew calls her Lottie and that confuses him. Evie calls her both names so it will be interesting to see which one sticks. They have both been spoiled by Granna and Mimi, so I hope they continue to love her and not show much jealousy once it is just us!
