Charlotte- Four Months

 Weight: 15 pounds 1 ounce (67%)
Height:  26.75 in (100%)
Head:  42.9cm (96%)

Doctor appointment:  The appointment went well.  She is growing and growing!  We can start solids now, but I am going to wait until we get back from the beach.  She had to get five shots, which of course she hated.  Mason and Evie did not like watching that either.  She has starting having some reflux, but since she isn't fussy, the doctor said not to worry about putting her on any medication yet.  We will watch her and see if he gets better.

Clothes:  She is wearing mostly 6 months and size 1 diapers (she is ready for 2's though).  She can fit into come 3-6 month.

Eating:  She is taking five 6oz bottles a day.  It works out that she eats at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm.  Her naps in the morning are usually in the car or swing, but in the afternoons she naps from around 2-5 and then another small nap from around 6:30-7.

Sleeping:  We just took her out of the swaddle this week.  The first night she woke herself up a couple of times right when we put her down, but by 10:30 she was out and slept the whole night. Since then, she has gone down great and sleeps until about 8.  She just needs a passy and her lovey next to her cheek and she is good.

Likes:  being held, playing on her mat, the swing, taking baths, watching Mason and Evie, the nap nanny, her passy (sometimes), the bouncy seat, being outside, tummy time (sometimes), the ergo, she loves having a blanket or lovey against her cheek when she falls asleep

Dislikes:  She honestly doesn't seem to have any dislikes right now.  The only time she cries is if she is hungry.  Hope she stays this easy!

New this month:  She is getting really good at tummy time.  She can hold her neck up pretty high and look all around.  She can lay on her back and spin in a circle, but no rolling over yet.  (*she rolled from tummy to back on 7/15) When you stand her up, she locks her knees and puts both feet flat on the ground.  Evie never did that, so maybe this means Charlotte won't take 18 months to walk!  We get smiles all day long, and laughs every now and then.  We have found some tickle spots that make her laugh.  I got a big laugh last week when I asked her if she wanted to go to Target.  :)  She is talking and squealing more and more too.  She is really into the open mouth kiss, which is my favorite!  She is holding on to toys to play with, sucks on her fingers, and drools a lot.
Matthew has his own nicknames for the kids (Mason-Hambone, Evie- pork chop) and Charlotte has gotten hers- June Bug!  Of course, he still calls her Lottie too.
We are so looking forward to taking her (and Mason and Evie) to the beach in two weeks!
