Matthew got tickets from Mary, a barrel racer from Ennis, to the Denver Stock Show and Rodeo. Since it didn't start until 9pm, I decided to stay in with Charlotte. The kids were so excited, even though they really didn't know where they were going. Matthew said they loved it and have already been asking when they can go again.
One of my very favorite Evie stories is from this night. All we had told her that day was that she was going to see Mary and her horse. Well, after her race, Matthew asked Evie what she thought. Evie got a serious look on her face and said, "She looked a little different." Matthew asked what she meant and she said, "She wasn't wearing a robe and Joseph wasn't on the horse with her. She didn't have Baby Jesus either." I still laugh about this! Sweet baby thought the entire time that she was going to meet Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus!
