Top 40 under 40

A few months ago, Matthew was notified that he had been nominated to be one of Shreveport's Top 40 under 40. He had to submit some paperwork, and then he found out he was selected as one of the 40. Quite an accomplishment, considering he has only worked here for 2 years. The award is put on by the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and this is what is says about the selection process:

The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce is honoring local young professionals with the 2010 class of 40 under 40 awards, which recognize up and coming entrepreneurs, managers, executives and professionals who contribute and give back to others in unique ways. Experience, achievement, success, leadership, inspiration, and community involvement were all key factors in the selection process.

So this weekend was the Gala. It was a fun night and I know it meant a lot to Matthew to have friends and co-workers attend the event for him.

He is OBSESSED with Buzz and Woody! This is the first movie he has ever sat and watched. He is serious at all the right parts and laughs at all the right parts. It is really cute to watch him get excited to see all the characters. I have a feeling I will have the movie memorized by Christmas!
