Dinosaur Ridge

On Sunday we decided to go to Dinosaur Ridge.  We had heard a lot about it, and since Mason loves all things rocks and dinosaurs we thought it would be a hit.  Little did we know that it would be a three mile hike, half of which was up hill!  It was a pretty day, but that didn't stop Mason from complaining the whole way down.  He wanted to be held and kept saying how his feet hurt.  He did get a little excited about seeing dinosaur tracks, but then was over it.  We hiked up to the top and had a picnic and a little rest before we walked the second half.  When we got to the bottom he told me that he never wanted to go there again!  haha!  We then went to the gift shop and he was a happy camper when he saw all the rocks and minerals.  He picked out sulfur and amethyst (and he knew what they were from his rock book).  I thought it was a fun outing, but it doesn't look like we will be going back anytime soon!
