Mason woke up really early screaming that it was his birthday. He then asked me if he friends Bennett, Georgia, Caroline, and Drew were going to come. I felt so sad for him, but I explained that they all live far away and couldn't come. I made him cake batter pancakes, but of course he didn't like them. We then gave him his bike, and he said that it was too big. Wow, our day started a little rough!
He also refused to believe that he was four. He kept looking at himself saying that he still 'looked' three and that it must not really be his birthday!
After school, we went to McDonald's for lunch and then headed downtown to the children's museum since that is what Mason picked to do. Well of course, we show up and find out that it is closed for their annual cleaning. Luckily, Mason is happy doing anything with us, so we decide to go check out the Science and Nature Museum. He had fun and that is all that matters!
Next up was Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. He has been talking about this place since we took him in Dallas last spring. There is one right by our house, so I knew it would be a good birthday spot. He loved playing games and eating pizza. Then it was home for cake and presents. He was so lucky that so many people mailed him gifts to open. He got a bike, a rock kit, binoculars, night vision goggles, all the accessories for his bike, a rock book, sticker books and crafts, games, fun activities to use when it snows, a t-ball set, and bases.
While this definitely wasn't anything that I would have wished for his fourth birthday, we were all together as a family and he was happy the whole day. I couldn't ask for anything more. Now, I just need to get over that he won't have an invitation in his baby book for his fourth birthday!

| A nice man asked if we wanted him to take our picture, and of course I said yes. It's a great picture except for the fact that he didn't get Mason in it! |

| All he has asked for since Matthew's birthday is for a cake just like daddy's. I showed him all sorts of cakes and he kept wanting this one. They are so good, so who was I to argue?! |
