Four Year and 15 Month Well Visit

It worked out that Evie would need her 15 month visit the same time as Mason's, so I just took them together.  It was interesting trying to keep them from tearing the room apart while I filled out all of the forms!

This was the first time he had to have a vision and hearing test.  He did great on both.

Mason at 4 years old:
Weight- 35 pounds (50%)
Height- 42 inches  (75%)

Mason,
You are the sweetest, funniest, cutest, most polite little guy I know.  You have grown up so much these last few months.  You are loving our new house and all the things we have been doing in Colorado, although I know you are just happy to have us all under the same roof again.  You still occasionally check to make sure Daddy is going to come home at night, so I know you haven't forgotten how much you missed him this past year.  You love the outdoors, playing any kind of ball, rocks, ice cream, playing with Evie, cheese pizza, lovey, going to school, and being with mommy and daddy.  You are still the sweetest big brother most of the time.  You are always trying to correct her and keep her out of harm's way, and you don't like it when she tries to take something from you.  You love to read her books and I think it is the sweetest thing in the world!  You always tell people she is your sister and love to show her off.  You tell me and her that we are beautiful every day, although today you told me that you did not like my outfit at all!
You are so loving.  You are constantly giving all of us hugs and kisses and tell us that you love us.  Your listening was a little rough awhile ago and you had your share of spankings, but lately you have been behaving so well.  I think you need structure and scheduling in your life.  You love to know what comes next so that you can be prepared for your day.
You are scared of the dark.  You must sleep with your night light on, door wide open, and the hall light on.  The light is on a dimmer so when I go to bed I dim it, and at some point during the night you will get up and turn it all the way on.
You are still a picky eater and pretty much eat the same five things everyday.  You love to go eat at "a place" (restaurant)
You hated getting your vaccines last week.  It took two nurses and myself to hold you down.  You were begging me to make them stop.  Because of this, I just knew you would lose it when you had to have your crown put on your tooth, but you surprised me by being a brave boy.  You didn't like the way the medicine made you feel, but you walked back there and did everything they asked and didn't even cry once! (not even in the straight jacket thing or the shot!)  Now you think it is so cool that you have a silver tooth.
I am so proud of the little boy you are becoming.  You talk more than any kid I know and you remember everything.  You are so much fun to be around.  I love you to the moon, the stars, and all the way back!

Evie at 15 months:
Weight- 24.5 pounds (75%)
Height- 32 inches (90%)

Evie girl, you are a handful!  You are stubborn, sweet, sensitive, and tough.  You can be knocked over and not cry, but if we look at your the wrong way or tell you no, you will cry in a heartbeat.  You can defend yourself too.  If Mason does something you don't like you will try to hit him or fight to keep your toy.
You decided over Labor Day weekend that you would walk more than just a couple of steps and you have really taken off since.  I would say you are walking about 80% of the time.  You still lose your balance, but you will stand back up and keep trying.  You love food and love to eat all day long.  You never turn down food.  Your daddy loves that he has an eater in the family.  Speaking of your daddy, you have him wrapped so tight around your little finger.  All you have to do is look at him with those big eyes and turn your lip down, and he will do anything for you.  I must say, it usually works on me too!  You love, love, love your Bubba and are always watching what he is doing.  You are still a complete mommy's girl as well.  I think you could sit on my hip all day long and be a happy girl.  You love to read books.  You will bring me book after book and have to sit in my lap while I read.  Your favorites right now are Biscuit's Halloween and Brown Bear, Brown Bear.  You are saying a few words like Hi, night night, what's that?, no, and can tell us what a dog says.  We are working on body parts and your belly button is your favorite!  You love to play with your baby dolls, walker, books, blocks, puzzles and Bubba's cars.
I love watching the similarities and differences in you and your brother, and I feel blessed every single day that we get to experience both a boy and a girl.  I love you forever and ever sweet baby girl!
