Evie girl, you are so much fun right now!  Your Daddy said that this is his favorite age.  You are always happy and love being with us.  You are one of the snuggliest babies I have ever been around. You always want to be sitting in our laps or be held.  You love your brother and look up to him.Mason asked me the other day why you always do what he does.  I am glad he is such a good role model for you.

You and Mason can make each other mad too.  You are a feisty little thing, and will fight back if he knocks you down.  Then you both usually kiss and make up.  There really is nothing sweeter than watching you two play.



You love all things girly.  You love to push your baby in the stroller, carry a purse, wear jewelry, and talk on the phone (you usually do all of this at the same time)  You also love shoes!  Your absolute favorite thing to do is read books.  You have your favorite four or five books, and we read these over and over again all day long.  You must be sitting in my lap to read too.

You are not talking at all.  You say mama and "what's that" and that is it.  I've heard you say some other random words occasionally, but then I won't hear you say them again for weeks.  You are signing  more, all done, eat, drink, water, milk, book, and please, so that usually gets you what you want.  You understand everything we ask you to do, but have no interest in saying actual words.  You talk in jibberish all day long, so you must have something to say. I will give you a couple of more months, then speech might be in your future.  If I have learned anything from you it is that you will do what you want when you are ready.  You have definitely taught me patience!

You know most animal sounds and can point to your body parts.

You love your passy.  Not sure when we will take it away.

You are still a good sleeper.  You no longer want rocking or books before bed.  All we do is put you in your bed and you are out.

You are doing so well in swim class.  We go once a week for 30 minutes and you love every minute of it.  You are such a little fish.  As soon as you get in, you start blowing bubbles, go under, and float on your back.  You can hold your breath under water for about 5 seconds while swimming to the wall.


You have your top four front teeth, four molars, and just the bottom two teeth.  I think this keeps you looking like a baby, so I am fine with it.  :)

You are a scaredy cat.  You are terrified of the vacuum cleaner.  Even if it is turned off, you will not walk any where near it.  You are also scared of ceiling fans.  Not sure where this came from.


You are still a pretty good eater.  You eat WAY more than your brother ever has, but we are starting to see some pickiness too.  Please keep being a good eater!  You love to carry your snack cup and water cup around.  I think this is kind of like another accessory for you.

You love to dance, play peek a boo, high five, and give kisses.  We love when we can get belly laughs out of you.  It is usually Mason who makes you laugh the hardest.  You think it is hilarious when either you or Mason burp or toot.  :)

You love to Skype and FaceTime.  You will point to the computer and say "hi" and then grunt at chair until we put you in it and that means you either want to skype with Mimi and Papa or Granna.  You FaceTime Sophia pretty much every day too.  You always have so much to say when you are talking to them.

You are my errand girl.  You are so good in the car and will be in a good mood even if we are getting in and out of it all day.  We are very busy during the week and seem to always be on the go.  I'm so thankful you are easy going and can nap in car or where ever you have time.

On the rare occasions you are unhappy, you can throw the biggest fits.  There have been times you have screamed (with no tears) for fifteen minutes.  You definitely don't like being told no.  I think your twos and threes should be interesting!



You are my mini-me and I love it.  Daddy calls you and Bubba my little ducks because you both follow me where ever I go.  You can't stand it if I just leave the room and must follow me.  Sometimes it wears me out, but I know it won't last forever so I try to soak up the fact that you actually want to be near me at all times.  I find that I can just go to the store for an hour by myself and I miss you terribly!  :)


I can't tell you enough how much we love you.  You have all three of us wrapped around your little finger!  I love you to the moon, the stars, and all the way back sweet baby girl!
