The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I love this time of year.  We started off December with pictures with Santa, Jingle returning, making gingerbread houses and cookies, and our advent tree.

cuties on our way to see Santa

Jingle is back!  Mason was so excited to see him.  He did immediately tell me after seeing him that he was going to be nice to Evie.  :)  He also asked how Jingle got in and out of the house, which then led to him asking how Santa got in the chimney.  I'm going to have to be on my toes this year.

The Brown's invited us over for some baking and decorating.  Mason had a great time with all of the girls.

We started a new tradition this year. This is how it works:  You get 24 people and each person makes 24 of the same ornament.  Lindsey had a party last weekend where everyone got together and swapped ornaments and each received the devotional book. (I mailed mine in)  Now each night counting down until Christmas, we do a devotional.  There is an ornament that corresponds with each day, so Mason gets to hang them on the tree.  It is a fun way to teach our kids the true meaning of Christmas.  I look forward to doing this year after year.

here are all of the ornaments

This is the little tree we are using for it.  You can see our "Trinity" ornament hanging.
The activity to go along with Day 2 was to break an egg and talk about how the egg has three parts just like the Trinity.
