Mason's 3rd Birthday

It's no secret that I love birthdays, so I have been looking forward to today for weeks! When I first realized that Mason's birthday would fall on a Saturday this year, I planned on having his party on his actual day, but the party place was booked.  I am so glad that it worked out this way though because today we got to celebrate him with just us and then next week will be the big party weekend with friends and family. I tried to do everything that I could think of to make this day so special and fun for our little guy!

the presents

Waking up to balloons and us singing Happy Birthday

showing us how old he is

my big 3 year old!

the balloons were a hit!

going to wake up Evie

happy birthday bubba!

so excited to see Pete the Cat

opening up first present

yay!  Cars!

He has been asking for "an orange guitar like Stoney Larue" for awhile, so we found him one

maybe he is the next big music star?!

self timer pic before we left.  Yes we are "those" weird people that all dressed alike today!  Mason LOVED it- the things we do for our kids!  :)  We saw random people today who were wearing orange and he thought they were wearing it for him!  ha!

First stop:  DONUTS!  We sang and let him blow out his "3" candle

this is what Evie did all day

Next up:  the Boardwalk to see the alligators

Carousel ride

He's the only kid I know who would rather sit on the bench than ride the horse

His choice for lunch:  Sonic.  Another candle and song!  He kept telling us all day to sing Happy Birthday to him!

a little guitar practice with dad

Then it was time for swimming!  Neil and Bennett met them at the pool for the last swim of the year.  Mason said the water was so cold, but that didn't stop them from jumping in

I love this picture!  They look like little frat boys!  :)

Then it was home for a much needed nap.  We had to wake him up at 5:30!  We played some more then it was his choice for dinner-  Jason's Deli for cheese pizza.

He really is loving all the special attention!  I think he is going to want a song and candle before every meal now.

The Lewis' met us at Frozen Frog for ice cream
picking out his flavors

One last Happy Birthday and candle!

blowing out candle together.  Mason wanted Bennett to have a turn.

Our sweet family.  We are so blessed!

Such a fun, fun day. He told me over and over again that today was his birthday!  I'm excited that we get to do it all over again next weekend!
