Mason was excited to start school today. He would ask several times this summer when he would go back, so I hoped that meant he wouldn't get upset today when we left him. He was excited all the way up until we walked into the building and he realized he wasn't going to his room from last year, but a new room down the hall. He walked in a little shy but met his teachers and put up his stuff. Once he realized I was leaving, he grabbed my hand really tight and said "Don't go Mommy!" Oh it broke my heart, but I know he loves it there and he will have a good time. He never cried but those big ol' brown eyes were thinking about it! He finally went and started playing and I left. He didn't tell me anything about his day, but I think it went well. He was tired when he got home and took a 3 hour nap. I know as he gets used to it, he will talk more and more about his new friends. I'm looking forward to having some one on one time with Evie three days a week. We sure did miss Mason today though and couldn't wait to go pick him up!
