Christmas Day 2011

the note that Santa left

Mason must have been good this year!

Evie was on the nice list too!

first look

this is when he really saw everything
We all thought that he would see the jeep and immediately run to it and not even really pay attention to the other things.  We were wrong!  He took his time and looked/played with everything that Santa left and saved the jeep for last.  He was so so happy!

taking lovey for a spin

Sadly, it rained all day so this is the only time he got to drive it.

I didn't get any pictures of us opening gifts but we all got great things.  Here is Evie's loot!

and Mason's gifts

now getting ready for Christmas lunch.  We drew again for who had which sides.    Sarah made a delicious salad (I think she won this year!), Donna made parmesan green beans, I made baked potato casserole, Matthew made a bread appetizer and Caroline made a yummy and healthy (ha!) sopapilla cheesecake all to go along with our ham.

playing some Candy Land

blessed with this great family

is she cute or what?!

of course Mason loved Evie's toys best!

sweet time with Aunt CC
Aunt CC had to drive home Christmas night, but Granna and Aunt B stayed one more night.  We loved having them with us and had a great, relaxing weekend.  This was such a magical Christmas celebrating sweet Evie's first Christmas and also the first Christmas where Mason actually "got" it.  He still wants to look for Jingle every morning and was so sad that we took the tree down.  He still has me playing Christmas music in the car though.  Not sure how to get him to stop singing those!
We are heading to my brother's for round 2 of Christmas this weekend.  We are looking forward to spending time with my family and watching all the kids run around.
