Polar Express

Yesterday we drove to Palestine, TX with the Lewis' and Buteau's to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole.  I don't know who was more excited... Mason or me!  We have been reading and watching the Polar Express for a few days to get him prepared.  He woke up Sunday morning ready to go to the Norf Pole!  The weather was cold and rainy, but luckily the rain stopped while we were outside.  I will never forget Mason's jaw hitting the floor when he saw the North Pole and Santa.  He was truly in awe.  Seeing how magical Christmas is to him is SO MUCH FUN!  Evie was a trooper and only got a little fussy while we were waiting for the train to start, but then fell fast asleep.
The train ride was about an hour long.  On the way to the North Pole the chefs sang and danced and passed out hot chocolate and cookies.  They also read the book.  After we left the North Pole and Santa made his rounds, we sang Christmas carols.  Mason loved singing Jingle Bells while shaking his bell.  It was a long day of travel but totally worth it.  I love making memories like this with our little family.  It was even more fun that we could share it with our friends!
