Let's Go Rangers!

Last Friday night Matthew and I took Mason to his very first Texas Rangers game.  We were so glad that Lezlee and Joel came with us too.  Matthew was like a kid on Christmas all day because he could not wait to take Mason.  He grew up going to Rangers games with his Dad, so this was like a dream come true for him.  Matthew and Mason started watching Rangers games on TV last year, so Mason was pumped too, although he really had no idea what he was in for.  On the way to the ballpark, he told us that he wanted to shake Hambone's (Josh Hamilton) hand and say "nice to meet you sir".  I guess he thought we were going to get to meet the players.  :)
I really didn't know how long Mason would last, but he was happy the whole time.  By the 7th inning he said that he was ready to go home (it was about 10PM), but Lez and I took him for a short walk and then he was ready to go sit back down.  He then told me he didn't want to go home, but stay and cheer for the Texas Rangers.  He enjoyed a hot dog, pistachios, and cotton candy while he danced and tried to keep up with the game.  We were surprised that after the game they put on a fireworks show.  Mason was in awe.  It was like 4th of July!  We didn't get back to Ennis until 12:30AM but it was worth the late night.  I loved seeing the magic of baseball in BOTH my boys' eyes!  I can't wait to go again! (and hopefully the Rangers will win)

We got there a little early so we tailgated for a bit.  You can see the ballpark in the background.

Watching the Titan roller coaster at Six Flags.  He kept calling them "trains"

Of course I had to buy him a foam finger!

so sweet!

Mason loves Wezee!

Joel, Lezlee, and Mason
Could he be any happier?!
I was so glad that they had pistachios.  Matthew and Mason sit outside and watch Rangers games at home while eating pistachios.  Can't get better than watching it Live and eating them!

Whenever the Rangers score a home run they shoot off fireworks, so we were waiting for one.  This was Josh Hamilton's first home run in the game.

We didn't realize when we got tickets, but after Friday night games they have a fireworks show.  They turned out all the lights and played music to them.  It was really cool!
