Mother's Day Weekend

I had a whole special weekend all about me.  Matthew was off on Friday, so we got a full 3 days together as a family, which in itself was great.  We ate at Don Juanz and Strawn's, Matthew grilled out, we got snow cones and ice cream, I took naps two days in a row, I didn't have to give baths for 3 nights in a row, I got a 90 minute massage, and I got to grocery shop all by myself!
This was my first Mother's Day as a mom of two, and although it has been a tough year on us as a family, the going from one to two kids has been pretty easy (of course there have been some hard days!)  I remember wondering how I could love another child as much as Mason, and yet, somehow my heart just grew with love for my little girl.  I can't imagine my life without them, and I am so blessed that being a Mom is my job!

This is the first year that Matthew took Mason to the store and told him to pick out whatever he wanted for me.  Matthew said Mason was very serious in his decision-making process and this was the result:  a candle, necklace, and candy!  He was so excited to give it all to me!  :)

Evie and Mason even had cards made for me!
