Mason's First Trip to the Dentist
I was a little late getting Mason to the dentist since I was waiting until we found out where we would be living for the next few years. He was a little shy and scared at first, but the staff was so sweet and so good with him, that after a few minutes he was talking their ears off and doing as he was told. I was happy to hear that he didn't have any cavities, but surprised to see that he is missing part of his back molar! Since this was his first time, we don't know if his tooth just grew in that way or if it broke off at some point. I can only recall one time about a year ago where he fell off of our bar stool and hit his chin on the tile floor, so maybe that is when it happened?! I guess we will never know. The dentist was shocked that he hasn't complained of any tooth pain. Since this tooth is one that he will have until he is around 10, he needs to have a crown put on it. We scheduled it for September, so we will see how that goes. I hate that he will have to be drugged and put in a restraining type thing, but I don't want anything worse to happen if we didn't do anything about it.
