We were so glad that it worked out that my mom was here the same weekend that Joel had a work function in Vail, so we left Saturday morning to meet up with them. We only had 24 hours, but we had fun as always. There is just something special about having friends that we have known for so long and no matter how much we see them, we just always pick up right where we left off. We love our time with them and can't wait for them to bring Sophia up for a visit!
We met up with Lezlee and walked around the village and then took gondola up to the top of the mountain while we waited for Joel. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the cool weather while having drinks and catching up and not having to entertain the babies. We had a great dinner outside and then went back to the hotel and got in the hot tub. It was a great day!
