After all the snow we have had this winter, Tuesday was our first and only snow day. They were expecting blizzard conditions, so school was cancelled the night before. It turned out to not be so bad, only about five inches, but really cold and windy, so we still decided to stay home in our pj's.
I first made a race track through our house out of painter's tape. This was a huge hit, and Mason is still playing with it.
Then I decided to try to make homemade play dough. I tried two different batches and they both turned out great. I'm pretty sure I won't be buying it ever again. Mason played with this for a solid two hours.
who knew that by having different types of dried pasta, straws, and toothpicks would make playdough so much fun?!
She focused so hard getting the spaghetti into the straw.
These two have really been playing well together lately. Evie wants to copy every single thing that Mason does, and I think he likes the attention! They go on "adventures" together and spend countless hours playing in the teepee. They have their own little conversations and Evie will do just about anything that Mason tells her to do. When Evie doesn't want to do something he is doing, he will sweetly say, "Sister, you have to play with me because we are best friends." It usually works! :)
See how Mason is laying, well of course, Evie had to do the exact same thing. If he coughs, sneezes, cries...well she makes herself too! so cute!
Just to be clear... they do still fight! It really is true how siblings can be best friends and annoy the heck out of each other. I know we have many, many more years of dealing with this!
This is from last night where they made each other mad about something. Evie might not talk, but she is strong willed and independent. If Mason pushes her down, she hits him right back!
Matthew was trying to make them hug to make up. :)
Love the track, but I am laughing out loud at the crying/hugging pics!!!
