I kind of dropped the ball this year on Evie's party. She didn't really have a place that she wanted it at and with her birthday being in the summer, I really didn't want to ask kids from school. Right now her friends are our friends' kids, so I just figured we could have something at the house. She loved having everyone over here for her and that is all that matters! Since her birthday fell on a Saturday this year, we did the party that day. I won't do that again, though, because I like to have two different celebrations (actual day of fun with family and party day).
I went with a pink lemonade theme and I thought it turned out cute. Matthew smoked a brisket and ribs and the adults chatted while the kids played in the bounce house outside. It was an easy party and by the time the last guests left at 10pm, they were exhausted.
